30 HOURS OF FREE-HAND DRAWING / JEWELLERY DESIGN
The lessons are modulated according to the student’s needs and attendance and frequency are therefore flexible.
During the lesson hours, the student acquires the basic notions for free-hand jewellery drawing.
The class is numerus clausus with at most five students.
Subjects addressed during the course
Real-life study and graphic reproduction of elements to acquire the skill to make a quick free-hand sketch of a jewel. Hand-on learning of colour techniques such as chiaroscuro, watercolour pencils, pantone system, tempera, etc;
Experimental illustration. Application of jewellery illustration drawing techniques which takes into account the right position of light and shade, special gold reflections and gemstone transparencies.
30 hours of free-hand drawing/jewellery design. 3 time bands.

Study of Rhinoceros 3D (Mc Neel) software, now commonly found in design firms.
The aim of the module is to learn the main functions of Rhinoceros 3D (Mc Neel) software, now commonly found in design firms.
In particular, goldsmith production is one of the areas where the potential of this software has most developed; this software is very light, inexpensive and very effective in modelling the complex shapes required in object design.
During the teaching course, various 2D and 3D exercises and jewellery modelling will be staged.

Practical training is the most important part of the IGA Jewellery Design Professional Course
Training is done inside selected facilities.
An aptitude interview makes it possible to understand the student's needs and motivations, useful for his or her correct placement in the different partner structures.
Training attendance is flexible to meets the student's commitments, bearing in mind that weekly attendance (morning or afternoon) cannot be less than three working days and in any case cannot last more than 3 months.
In each facility is the tutor of the IGA student who accompanies him/her along the entire study course.
At the end of training, the I.G.A. DIPLOMA is awarded, a passepartout for the world of work, as well as certifying the student's attendance at the course, also bears, at the bottom, the signature of the stylist, thus becoming a real acknowledgment of the experience acquired.
